The need for enterprises to meet data governance requirements by implementing an effective metadata management solution grows, so too does Advanced Metadata.

With 20 years of experience in metadata management, we have for two decades provided the solutions that allow organizations to meet regulatory standards and drive business growth through proper data alignment, and we continue to evolve and expand to meet the needs of our current and future clients.

Following on from the establishment of our R&D hub in Dublin, large-scale investment, and the appointment of the vastly experienced Brian Hayes as Chairman of the Board, we are delighted to announce that Brendan Cannon will take up the position of CEO.

Reflecting on his appointment, Brendan said: “It is a great honour for me to lead Advanced Metadata into this next phase of the company's evolution. My challenge is now to chart a course to enhance the growth and profitability of Advanced Metadata and build a culture that makes us a great company to work for and with.”

Holding a degree in Business Studies from Dublin Institute of Technology and an MBA from Trinity College Dublin, Brendan has worked for multinational companies in the UK, US, and in Japan.

Returning to Ireland in 1997, he joined Intel, progressing through key management roles in Finance, Innovation, Business Development and Corporate Affairs over an 18-year period, before working in a global capacity for the company’s Sales and Marketing Group.

Just as Advanced Metadata continues to develop and grow, providing metadata management solutions on a global scale from our base in Ireland, Brendan is currently enrolled on the Trinity College PhD register, researching the contribution advanced manufacturing can make to a knowledge-based economy.
